7 Days Samburu, Aberdare, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi Airport/Hotel – Samburu Game Reserve
Pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 8:00 am and depart for Samburu Game Reserve via Isiolo.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the highlands and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp.
After lunch, relax until 3:00 pm when you head out for an evening game drive, spotting rare species such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, and Grevy’s Zebra — animals found only north of the equator.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge / Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu Game Reserve
Spend the day exploring Samburu Game Reserve, home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and an abundance of birdlife.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with time to relax at your lodge during midday.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge / Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, drive south to Aberdare National Park, a beautiful mountainous region with lush forests and cool highlands.
Arrive in time for lunch at your base hotel before transferring to your tree lodge, where you’ll spend the night watching wildlife from viewing decks overlooking a floodlit waterhole.
Spot black rhinos, leopards, baboons, colobus monkeys, and bongos — a rare forest antelope.
Dinner and overnight at The Ark / Treetops Lodge / Outspan Hotel.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive via Thomson’s Falls and descend into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge for lunch and check-in.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to view the famous flamingos and pelicans, as well as white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, and buffaloes.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Flamingo Hill Tented Camp / Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning game drive before breakfast, then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley.
Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at your camp or lodge.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Kenya’s most famous park — home to the Big Five, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and a variety of predators.
Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp / Camp Oloshaiki / Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend the entire day on game drives across the Masai Mara plains in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, and leopards.
Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari or a visit to a Maasai village to learn about their culture.
Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp / Camp Oloshaiki / Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with lunch en route.
Arrive in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
